Bio

I am currently the Business Development Director for Flowers Chemical Laboratories, Inc.  Main office is located in Altamonte Springs, Florida and regional laboratories in Madison, Port Saint Lucie and Marathon, Florida.  The laboratory is one of the largest privately owned labs in Florida.  Established in 1957, FCL provides analytical and field sampling services throughout Florida and the country.
 

 I have more than twenty – four (24) years in the environmental field and have worked for the Environmental Engineering Section of the Polk County Health Department, for the Florida Rural Water Association, and for the Environmental Laboratory at Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute prior to accepting a position with Flowers Chemical Laboratories, Inc.

I am active with various civic, religious and political groups throughout our community.  I have been a former Youth Director with the United Methodist Youth Fellowship at Beymer Memorial UMC and still participate as a parent of a current youth member.  Since 1998, I have been an active adult leader with Cub Scout Pack 515 and Boy Scout Troop 515 serving both as Cubmaster and Assistant Scout Master.  I am also a Merit Badge Counselor for the troop as well.  

Politically, I am the Vice-President of the Republican Club of East Polk County, the acting Chairman of the Republican Liberty Caucus of Central Florida, a member of the Polk County Republican Executive Committee and recently selected as a Delegate to the Presidency 5 “Straw Poll” to be held in Orlando, Florida.  I am also a proud member of the Winter Haven 9-12 group.  

In 2010, I was a Republican candidate for US Congress in Florida’s 12th District.  Although I lost in the Primary, I was able to get 31% of the votes while being outspent by the opponent more than 30 to 1.  Our campaign was a positive message for those who still believe in strong conservative values based in liberty, the US Constitution and Judeo-Christian traditions.

In early January 2011, a few good friends asked me to consider running for the Florida House of Representatives.  After careful thought and prayers, I have declared my candidacy to run for the Florida House of Representatives.  At this time my Campaign Manager, Treasurer and Staff are all volunteers and like me, they believe in the US Constitution, State Sovereignty and Personal Liberty.  We also believe that our State Representatives must represent the people of their district and not just special interests nor their own.  It is about time that we elect “citizen statesmen” and not “self –serving” politicians.
