Businessman John Lindsey is challenging Rep. John Wood of Haines City in the Republican primary to represent parts of Polk County in the Florida House. Lindsey sat down to talk with Sunshine State News in Orlando at the Republican Party of Florida’s (RPOF) Presidency 5 event.

John W. Lindsey, Jr., Republican candidate for Florida House District 65, and member of the Republican Club of East Polk County voted in the straw poll in Orlando, September 24, 2012.
John W. Lindsey, Jr. was among a group of registered Republicans selected to represent Polk County at the Republican Party of Florida’s presidential candidate debate and straw poll, held in Orlando September 22-24.
The winner was Herman Cain with just over 37 % of the total votes cast, Mr. Cain received more votes than Mitt Romney and Rick Perry combined. The win came as a big surprise to the established front-runners.
Ms. Teri Strong, Mr. Bill Landes and Mrs. Pat Eddins, all volunteers with Mr. Lindsey’s campaign, were also in attendance as delegates from Polk County.
John Lindsey, Jr. is a Republican candidate who will be challenging incumbent John Wood, Jr. (R) of Winter Haven, in the 2012 primary election.
John Lindsey, Jr. is a constitutional conservative that believes in and practices conservative values.
